HomePublicationsFinancing the Urban Transition

A summary report written by a group of authors led by the London School of Economics and PwC. The report was prepared for the Coalition for Urban Transitions (a New Climate Economy initiative) who support decision makers to meet the objective of unlocking the power of cities for enhanced national economic, social and environmental performance; including the risk of climate change.

This report provides a research insight into the potential opportunities and risks posed by rapid urban growth; underlining three key themes (compact urban growth, connected infrastructure, coordinated governance) that must be considered if countries and cities are to capture the associated productivity benefits.
